The role
Prospera seeks the expertise of a Senior Adviser (People & Systems) to review the current human resources systems and practices to align to Prospera’s new structure design. The Senior Adviser will identify the vision for Prospera’s people management systems, any gaps, and solutions to overcome hurdles standing in the way of achieving the vision, within the bounds of an Australian public-funded program. The review will evaluate HR policies and practices by interviewing key Prospera and Cardno staff, reviewing documentation, observing practices and taking into account international good practice. The Senior Adviser will develop recommendations to improve selection/recruitment, promotion, transfer and performance evaluation, along with contracting, onboarding and training. The Senior Adviser will agree key recommendations to execute with Prospera’s senior leadership team and coach Prospera managers and HR team in using the refreshed HR system.

About you (Selection Criteria)
Candidates applying for the position will need to demonstrate the following qualifications:

  • Have 15 years’ experience or more in human resources management, people development or organisational systems development
  • Demonstrate that they have successfully undertaken similar advisory roles and have capacity to undertake the work.
  • Have experience with capacity development and/or mentoring mandates
  • Have excellent analytical and facilitation skills,
  • Demonstrate familiarity and understanding with the operational context in which Prospera operates;
  • Be flexible and ready to work in a fast-paced environment,
  • Excellent written communication skills with fluency in English (both written and oral). Language skills in Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.

About the program
Prospera is a partnership facility between the Government of Australia (through Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade) and the Government of Indonesia. It aims to foster strong, sustainable, and inclusive economic growth in Indonesia. Commencing from 1 March 2018, Prospera is a planned five-year investment.

The remuneration will be set according to DFAT Adviser Remuneration Framework Group A, Job Level 4, for international candidates. The remuneration level at which the Senior Adviser is engaged will be based on the successful candidate’s relevant skills and experience. The role is based in Jakarta- Indonesia, with a mixture of home-based and on-site works.
