The role
Prospera seeks to engage an Insurance Expert (Regulatory and Supervisory Framework) on a short-term basis (3-4 months) to work within the Macro Financial Policy Team. The Insurance Expert will provide advice to the Finance Ministry’s Financial Sector Policy Unit (PKSK) and make policy recommendations to develop the insurance sector in line with the draft Omnibus Law on Financial Sector Development. The successful candidate will assist the PKSK insurance team to strengthen insurance surveillance analysis.

About you (Selection Criteria)
The candidate will possess strong qualifications and experience as follows:

  • More than 15 years in the insurance area and/or with regulatory experience.
  • Broad understanding of the issues facing the insurance sector from regulatory and industry standpoints with a background from the insurance regulator and/or insurance market.
  • Strong understanding of all aspects of the insurance business.
  • Strong understanding of actuarial work.
  • Familiarity with the Indonesian financial services sector and strong understanding particularly of the insurance industry environment
  • Strong Indonesian government and/or association network.

About the program
Prospera is a partnership facility between the Government of Australia (through Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade) and the Government of Indonesia. It aims to foster strong, sustainable, and inclusive economic growth in Indonesia. Commencing from 1 March 2018, Prospera is a planned five-year investment.

The remuneration will be set according to National Remuneration Framework Group C, Job Level 4, for Indonesia national. The remuneration level at which the Insurance Expert is engaged will be based on the successful candidate’s relevant skills and experience. The role is based in Jakarta- Indonesia.
